The derby will take place on Sunday, October 6th. Participants can register for a 5 minute slot with 90 seconds being true hitting. Open hitting will take place from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

Baseball (6-8 Years Old) - Home Run Distance: 100 feet
Baseball (9-12 Years Old) - Home Run Distance: 150 feet
Baseball (13-15 Years Old) - Home Run Distance: 200 feet
Baseball (16 Years Old+) - Home Run Distance: Over the fence!
Softball (6-8 Years Old) - Home Run Distance: 60 feet
Softball (9-12 Years Old) - Home Run Distance: 100 feet
Softball (13-15 Years Old) - Home Run Distance: 150 feet
Softball (16 Years Old+) - Home Run Distance: 225 feet
How It Works
Each participant will have 90 seconds to hit as many home runs as possible using a pitching machine set to an age-appropriate speed. The top 5 participants in each division will advance to the finals.
12:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Qualifying round. All participants bat between these hours.
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Finals Round (Ages 9-12 & Ages 13-15 Baseball & Softball)
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Finals Round (Ages 16+ Baseball & Softball)
There are no finals for the ages 6-8 division.
Prizes
Division Winner: $100 prize
Grand Prize: $500 or $500 worth of goods and/or gift certificates (Division winners will be entered into the drawing for the grand prize). Grand prize will be awarded after all finals are complete and will be drawn at random.
Event Rules
Only USA Baseball stamped bats (ages 6-13 baseball) and BBCOR bats (ages 14+ in baseball) are allowed.
No USSSA bats. Little League approved bats for softball. Wood bats are accepted. Bats must be stamped, unaltered, and in good working condition. Bats will be inspected. If you do not have a derby approved bat, one will be provided. Event organizers reserve the right to alter age divisions, rules, or prize distribution based on number of participants as well as extenuating factors.
